Born in Murray, Kentucky to Jim and Dottie Sims, Molly graduated from Murray High School in Murray, Kentucky. She attended Vanderbilt University for 2 years, starting in Fall 1991, before dropping out to model. In May 2000, she was announced as the host of MTV's "House of Style" (1989).
